I"m not feeling this!

I was watching this video and I'm not quite sure if I'm feeling what she is saying. She had me until she said if you want to wear a relaxer then that's fine. Maybe I'm mistaking but isn't Carol's Daughter hair line originally catered to naturals or curly hair. I could be wrong on that...I can understand being more diverse but this is a completely different direction. I'm all for someone's hustle but as a person who's hasn't really used the products this kind of turns me away from it. The reason why is because I feel that the product is now about just getting as many people as you can to buy it instead of meeting the needs of our hair. I don't know...I could be just speculating but this just doesn't sit right with me. It just sounds like a obvious marketing scheme to reach a big audience but I'm hoping she doesn't lose the integrity of her product and remember who was supporting her products first. Now I've never really used anything of Carol's Daughter so I can't speak too much about it. The video and the message they were trying to convey just rubbed me wrong.Tell me what you all think?

  1. I agree! If the product was initially introduced for natural and relaxed hair, I wouldn't be turned off. It really does look bad for business and where is the integrity of the company!? Apparently, integrity has just gone out the window! I have been wanting to try their line because I've read mixed reviews of their products, but now I think I'm having second thoughts! Thanks for posting this video! Very helpful and VERY INFORMATIVE! Keep up the Good Work, Congrats on the hair growth, and MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!

  2. Thank you Anonymous! That's how I feel. I'm torn on her products now. I don't think I care to try them now unless I get them for free...lol

  3. I'm sorry but her products have never worked for me. They've always left my hair dry and brittle.

  4. I just watched the video and personally, I don't think that she was condoning perms. I think she was trying to be politically correct and inclusive.

  5. I totally agree. When I read on the new image of Carol's Daughter, it hurt me, because as a darker woman of color, I feel the product does not represent us anymore. I use Carol's daughters products, and the hair milk happens to be my favorite but I don't know if I honestly want to use them anymore. I also think that this promo video is misleading because the product does not work well on relaxed hair or hair without a curl pattern because water is a major component of her products.
